Owen Arrives

A warm sun was shining on Wednesday, as we left the Deltaville dock. The wind was light and on the nose--fine for a few hours of motor sailing down the Chesapeake Bay to Norfolk, where we tied up at Cobb's Marina. Owen arrived by plane from Albany, and met us at the dock. We were happy to have him crew with us for the next week.

Owen designs houses in Vermont, and grew up sailing with Christoph on Lake Champlain. He knows how to sail, likes to be of use, and can stay up for night watch, making him great crew. We filled our fuel and water tanks and washed down the decks. Then we took a short walk to Captain Groovy’s, where we enjoyed delicious local rock fish for dinner.
